Breakfast at the hotel.
The day begins with a ride in a VIP van heading northward to Mae Taeng valley. The destination is E.L.E. (Elephant Life Experience), the only boutique camp in northern Thailand set among the marvelous scenery and beautiful setting of mountains and rivers. This sanctuary offers only a private and exclusive elephant experience in luxury style.
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, receive a warm welcome from the elephants and staff, followed by a feeding of the elephants. At the main lodge, change into a mahout’s outfit which can be taken home. Day 6 - Chiang Mai exploration

Be picked up from the hotel at 09:00 and drive to the temple grounds. Meet with the monks and proceed to the workshop area where silver plates are made. Learn how these silver plates  are made and create a personalised one using patterns taught at the workshop.
Wat Srisuphan is a silver temple that was first constructed at the beginning of the 16th century. Almost everything in the temple is made of silver and aluminum. The ordination hall is surrounded by sema stones, having remnants of the original wat with its intricate designs. The beautiful murals decorating the interior is a stunning tribute and example of the rich tradition for which the area is renowned for. Incorporating all aspects of Zen, Buddhist, Theravada and Taoist traditions, the murals bring life to the building and seem to illuminate the story of the Buddha. Two hundred years ago, the Ancient Arts Study Centre here was once a tiny silver-making community established just outside the city walls of Chiang Mai as a means of restoring heritage.
Then head to a popular local restaurant for a snack. Order a bowl of khao soi, Chiang Mai’s most famous dish which combines crispy noodles and coconut curry sauce. Slurp up the delicious noodles while reflecting on the magical morning then return to the hotel.
Free afternoon at leisure.

International travelers to Thailand will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or ATK test results from October 1st, 2022 onward.

In a new move to attract travelers during peak season, Thailand is doing away with the requirement of needing vaccination certificates or Covid-19 negative results in the case of unvaccinated passengers. Additionally, those infected with Covid-19, but have mild symptoms don’t need to isolate from next month. The same applies to those who test positive but display no symptoms.

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced these changes on Thursday after the National Communicable Diseases Committee (NCDC) had a meeting on Wednesday.

Instead of isolating those who have contracted the disease would be required to wear a mask, socially distance themselves from others and wash their hands frequently for the first five days. They also need to stay away from those who are immunocompromised and vulnerable.

Dr. Sophon Iamsirithaworn, deputy director-general of the Department of Disease Control, informed that since the present Covid-19 mutation doesn’t cause serious symptoms in most people, disease control measures can be relaxed.

National Security Council secretary-general Supoj Malaniyom added that the new measures are being put in place to help improve the economic conditions of the country.

“The primary aim will be to ensure the economy is back on track so people could earn their livelihoods once more,” he said.
