Upon arrival at the airport in Dong Hoi, our guide and driver will be waiting to transfer you directly to Phong Nha National Park

The park contains one of the most spectacular caves in Vietnam - a true natural wonder with 65 kilometres of tunnels and underground rivers. Formed approximately 250 million years ago Phong Nha was used as a hospital and ammunition depot during the war, and the entrance still shows evidence of attacks from fighter aircraft. Day 4 - Phong Nha - Anh Xa - Vinh Moc - Phuoc Tich - Hue

Depart early morning and head south to Hue.

On the way, stop at the childhood home of the General Vo Nguyen Giap. He was born in this village in 1911 and is famous for his leadership which led to the victory of the battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1946 against the French army.

The house was actually burned by French soldiers but restored in 1977. Visit the beautiful traditional wooden house in a charming garden thanks to Mr. Ham, his grandson who currently lives there and listen to his stories of his grandfather.

Then drive on for another hour before making a stop at Vinh Moc Tunnels. The route is scenic after leaving the main highway passing through quaint villages and skirting along Cua Tung Beach. Learn all about the Vinh Moc village story which is a feat of humanity and resistance during the Vietnam War. Explore the tunnels and enjoy the beautiful sea view upon exit!

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Dong Ha.

In the afternoon, drive around 30 min to the 500-year-old village of Phuoc Tich. Once famous and prosperous because of its pottery, the village has dozens of homes that are from 100 to 200 years old and several old temples, pagodas, worship halls and communal houses still remain.

Many imprints of Champa and ancient Viet cultures are still preserved such as lingas (a very complex symbol of Hinduism). The religious culture of the village is seen via families, which have their own ancestor worship halls, each worshiping five direct generations.

Arrive in Hue in the late afternoon.

Day 6 - Hue - My Son Sanctuary - Hoi An

You have ample time in the morning to relax before boarding the transfer to Da Nang and continue further to My Son Sanctuary, one of the most important sites of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Situated in a valley surrounded by high mountains, the World Heritage Site is one of the most stunning sights in central Vietnam.

During the excavation of the site, letters were found revealing that the complex had been a site of Hindu worship since the 4th century. In the 7th century, the temples that had been destroyed by fire were restored with locally made bricks.

Hear about 70 similar temples built in the period up to the 13th century, establishing My Son as a sanctuary of Hinduism. Enjoy a walking tour around the sanctuary to see the many temples and towers.

The lunch will be served at local restaurant.

After that, we continue the transfer onward to Hoi An, which is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.

Vietnam would scrap the Covid-19 testing requirement for all arrivals starting Sunday, May 15th 2022, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed.

In a document issued Friday, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health to closely follow the coronavirus situation and provide proper guidance. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should direct Vietnamese authorities outside the country to inform people who wish to enter Vietnam to follow appropriate disease prevention measures, he said.

The latest decision has been made as the number of Covid-19 infections and deaths drops both in Vietnam and around the world. Several countries have been taking steps to relax coronavirus restrictions, including scrapping testing before entry.

Current policies issued by the health ministry require entrants to have negative results from PCR tests done within the previous 72 hours, or a negative result from a rapid test done within the last 24 hours.

Those who don’t have a negative test result must refrain from making contact with others during the first 24 hours after entry. They will be able to move freely once they test negative after arrival.

Children under two don’t need to be tested.

Vietnam stopped requiring medical declarations from those arriving from abroad starting April 27, and for domestic travel starting April 30.
