Mausoleum of Nguyen Sinh Sac

Lai Vung Fermented Pork

In the harvesting season, each kilogram of mandarin orange costs 23.000 VND to 25.000 VND; otherwise, the price may rise to 50.000 VND to 55.000 VND per kilogram. 

Trey Riel Hot Pot with Egyptian River Hemp

It is one of the popular food in the flooding season. The Egyptian river hemp has a distinct flavor with crunchy, savory taste; therefore, people often use it as an ingredient in hot pot, sweet and sour soup, and raw salad. The other primary element of the dish is trey riel, which mostly appears in the flooding season, from the 7th to 10th month in the lunar calendar. The best fish is in the early season when it is immature with soft bone, and fatty meat. The two components create a unique dish. The hot pot can be served with rice noodles or boiling rice.
