What to expect at Phuket Full Moon Party?
Full Moon Party Phuket is smaller than the notorious Koh Phangan Party, but with the easy access and the great music, it is gaining in popularity.
The entrance starts at costs 800 baht or 1,000 baht with a ‘Premium Bucket’ or 2 Chang beers. (you know what a bucket is, right?). Then there are many other inclusive offers, up to 1,700 baht with tee shirts, more drinks and lockers. On the plus side, it is close to Patong Beach, and there is an all-day/all-night free transfer from and to Patong by bus every 30 minutes. So you don’t have to plan long in advance: you can get there when it happens.
The dance floor and party area are on the beautiful Paradise Beach, which already very popular during the day for its beach club atmosphere. You can jump into the sea whenever you get too hot or tired of dancing. The party is organized by the notorious Illuzion Night Club on Bangla road. The setting is fantastic with a great sound system, lighting and fire shows. All around the party zone you can take a break at the bar and even a bite at one of the restaurants.
The party is on an isolated beach and is not disturbing. Visitors to Phuket who are not fans of Full Moon parties will not be affected by loud music or by travelers who might be little too enthusiastic and drink a little too much. The shuttle frequently comes and goes between Patong and Paradise beach, so once you feel like going back, no worries to reach your hotel, and no driving!
The Full Moon Party Phuket always features international DJs for an unforgettable full moon night until very late! (and no, this story is not sponsored in any way, we just thought some readers wanted to know about it!)

Dangers & annoyances
Although this is an organized festival with security, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take some precautionary acts and watch out for anything that could happen in those kinds of parties and places due to the number of people there.
It is advised that you go with a group of friends that you trust because it is more fun when you dance the night away with people you love and also you can look out for each other in case of anything happening.
Don’t accept any stranger’s offers of drinks or food as they may not have good intentions about their offers, it might be drug infused or poisonous and you do not want to end up passed out with no money or worse.
This party is full of wild people partying under the influence of heavy alcohol which may lead to dangerous situations, so take care of yourself because no one else will so you won’t end up drunk and in a bad situation.
There is security involved in the festival and it is not advised that you partake in any drugs while you are there especially illegal drugs in Thailand, no one wants to spend some time in jail because they were partying irresponsibly.
Do not carry any valuable objects to avoid any pickpockets there, as it is not uncommon that someone will lose an object or two in a crowd like this. If you must take a valuable object with you keep an eye out for it and don’t go around showing it off.
When it is time for sunrise it can get really hot, so take some sunscreen, lotion and even some clothes and a hat.
